There is clarity
in the moment
a bubble poised on the lip of life
quivering nascent
hint of the future
in fluidity of the present.
I will not
burst your bubble
with a fragile fingernail touch
a whispers breath
a word of cynicism
shattering the sphere.
It hangs there
perfect prescient
created from moments past
and in a moment
it too will pass:
its shadow staining my heart.
