Waves crashed against the shoreline of her heart. Seagulls dulled by the passage of time becoming beguiling, flightless birds- anchoring little more than volatile sands.
Isabella felt inside her own loneliness. It was kissed into her by mortal hands. Now, she knew it was time. Time to release and drop. Shades undoing. Undone, unbound begun. Forever more no longer a fixed point in the annals of time. Time to fly and be - rested inside the violet-eyed gaiety of her own true destiny.
She clenched and unclenched her knuckles, leaving dainty tread marks in the hours of others. Her life summed up in coffee cups. No longer to be tossed in mossy grooves. She stood - tipsy toed - up, up, up and into her own fate.
Rested by charm, the sun spared her its heat, lingering instead in roseate hues. These feelings! These beautiful, colour drenched bursts of light, love and intimacy!!
The forevermore was lost today amongst the junk and toys of her curious mind. Her slumbering gait woke a relax, most roiling and young, limbered up to stretch its wings and fly. Passion notwithstanding, her life stretched before her - a gaze of smiles and glances. She was caught between the loss the love of the soon-to-be.
Isabella looked one last time back out to sea. Tempting fate to become real. Tempting the sky to renounce its sea of troubles, the Earth to announce its promises and drape, drape, drape her with virgin soil. Sigh.
I will wait. She decides.
And with that, her shoulders relax. Her body takes up a curious gait. Arms unclench, unsaddle lovingly past love's loss. She hands them to the mermaids to wash.
She stands.
Firm.
Still.
Resplendent in my private joy. I know the tide turns. I feel. For I am Isabella. Queen of Love's Way.
