Uplifting grief

How do you grieve for your foot?
How do you grieve for your tongue?
Is there grief in a label that cannot be removed?
Is there reawakened grief every time a body part stops working?
It is, after all, still there, useless, but still attached.
How do you gloss over your grief to your mother, already grieving for her third daughters body?
How do you move on?
Do you want to?
How do you tell your beautiful children you're no longer perfect?
Are you no longer perfect?
Do they even notice?
You think they are fine. One quotes their chance of having the same illness.
The power of the internet.
My son loves me. He was worried and did the research.
His love raises me up. Grief phase one has passed. I will go on. I will have the courage to just be.
