Ward 3A

A precious morning
With unspoken fears
A rushed kiss
Eyes wide, longing for reassurance
Circling the grounds
Dreading the worst, only able to imagine the best A welcome call Feelings need never be expressed

  1. I am drawn into this poignant longing and scarcely daring to hope. A beautiful crystallization, succinct and vivid. Awakens my memory of my own experience of my son in a ward.
