When the blackbird turns from cackle bird to song bird in early Spring, when my dad has mowed the grass. "Finally" says mum, and then cooks as the sun is drained from yellow to grey.

My friend Virginia made me laugh once because she mooed like a cow and all the cows came running over to her. They liked that someone could speak bovinia.

Picture this: Paddock cows dotted like big fat black semibreves on a twisty barbed wire stave, ears flicking forward and silver snot webs dangling like broken aerials in chimney smoke.
G and C9 chords on the guitar for effect.
Pause.
Do you know that song 'Hero' by Enrique?
I sang that at my sister's wedding even though my lips stuck to my teeth and I couldn't find my left shoe.
I forgot to sing the bridge.
They liked it anyway because it's a love song.
Like u know, bike, hike, open mic and Nike.
NB Love is just Like but without the words.
