A Strange Sorta Love

Missing you is a daily ritual
In your absence, I search for
that missing warmth within my soul
The familiar scent behind your ears
The feel of your stubbles against my cheeks
How do I live with such fierce desire?

I long for your fullness in me
The secret nook of where my head rests snugly against you
The private embrace of our conjoined hearts
The murmur your voice sends my heart into
The way we bond
Skin against skin.

Without you
My life is futile and
My body limp
My blood flows for you,
My love.

I starve,
so that I can taste you untainted
I run,
So that you will always have a game & a thrill
I love you with all my might
And yet
I will never feel you with me,
In me
Ever again.
