My Landscape

The sun rises over the mountain, rays streaming to blanket a new day Buddha smiles and nurtures her children as they grow towards her feet Flowers glisten with dew, their hearts expose vibrant colour The dog lazily opens her eyes and then content soaks up the warmth with a sigh We too rise to meet the new day Your tender love blankets me like the warm sun And like the grasshopper in a rich field, My heart bounds across the landscape that is you.
