Is a memory
Sailing away
On a blue mirror
Shifting focus
Your eyes
Blurred shapes
Lines
Dividing
spaces
Between
Here
And
There
A mountain
Hidden
In the dark
Moss grows
A gentle cover
It waits
For the sun to rise
to clear the night
and lick the skin with a gentle warmth
sand crushes
and cracks
underfoot
alone
the beach
is full
with
an urgent and
tumultuous sky
ripples touch
my toes
and create circles
overlaying others
reverberating
slowly
and the tide
goes out
like an anchor
from my belly
sinking into
this
place
it is
quiet
breathless
and I cannot
pierce the water's
skin
to reach
the surface
gasping
